Stillness | Redfish Lake, Idaho

The above photo is my current desktop image.  It takes me to a quiet place, which I usually need when I sit for long hauls at the computer.  There’s something calming about looking at stones at the bottom of a clear lake….they sit there, untouched by rain and unwarmed by the sun, growing smoother with time as the wind moves water and sand over them.  They might be nudged when a child roots around for a skipping stone, but other than that, they’re still.  Changing, but slowly, imperceptibly so.

I can almost smell the fishy-seaweedy-outdoorsy-ness of the lake in these pictures! I want to go there!
