The crazy thing about modern technology is that every gadget seems to do more than you’d ever actually use it for.
My camera (Canon 5D Mark ii) happens to also shoot HD video. One day in July, it dawned on me that I’d spent all this time working on the craft of photography, and I hadn’t even switched it into video mode. In fact, I didn’t even know how to switch it into video mode. So I pulled out the camera manual, fiddled with some buttons, and started shooting clips of my niece and nephew, who I was spending that day with. (Note: as you’ll see, they look like they could be siblings – but they’re cousins!)
I stumbled upon the clips again recently, and I decided to throw together a little composite of my very first time shooting video. Perhaps it will put a smile on your face that you can start the week with:
Well, I’m no Vincent Laforet, but it was fun to try my hand at a totally new medium. I look forward to shooting more.
Make it a great week everyone!
