Your Own Story | New Life Album

Each family has their own comfortable ways of living every day – the routines, the habits, the battles, the giggles.  Each time the family grows, those ways shift and stretch and form anew.  And that process makes a beautiful story.

Here is an album I created with the Freestone family.  It combines the crafted images of two photoshoots – a family shoot in a forest before little Theodore’s birth, and a quiet shoot in their home after he arrived – capturing the new family of four!  This album from Couture Book has a unique tri-fold cover, gently magnetic to stay closed on its own.  The the inside cover features a letter that Mommy wrote to Theodore, telling him the story of his birth, how she felt while she was waiting for him to come, and what transpired during those first sweet hours and days of his life.

This album will be an amazing gift for Theodore someday – the full story of how he joined the family and the joy they felt at the beginning of his time with them.  I can’t wait for him to read it someday.  He won’t have these moments in his own memory, but he can read about them and see them, and treasure them.

Rachel requested that these two images be next to each other:

In the flurry of activity surrounding a birth, it’s good to also take a moment and preserve memories of the big brother!

That’s so fun to see! Who would have thought a photoshoot of a book would be so awesome. 🙂 This book truly is a treasure. Thanks for all your hard work, Jenika!
